This is my version of kalyuka. I improved and simplified its construction, so now it is possible to play on it in a very advanced way.

I made it from plastic to increase the durability and decrease its price. In Russia this instrument was usually made from special bush "borshevik" and used only for one season , bacause it was very fragile. But for professional use it's quite inapplicable.

Unlike traditional one, this model is highly durable. It's only one instrument i know on which it's possible to play inside the water or at 40-degree frost without losing the technical possibilities. And of course you can use it professionally to perform and record.

I play my own kalyuka for 6 years and I'm completely satisfied with it. This is one of my most favorite instruments in my huge collection. I like its simplicity and endless music possibilities!

I build kalyukas in 5 keys. Here you can listen the sound of my kalyuka flutes and choose which one you want to buy. Another keys available by request.

This aim of this project was to bring together ancient charactery with contemporary technologies. As a source of archaic symbols, movements and sound ideas we chose the culture of Ancient Kuzhebar (South Siberia), the culture that we belong to. The movie is based on two harmonical components:

• Archaic chactery and ethnic music of Ancient Kuzhebar aborigines (organic)
• Contemporary videoart, sound microsurgery (inorganic)

This instrument is unique. I just remade the old guitar, now it's have a huge possibilities of both instruments: talking sound of sitar and ability to play in any key with any chords!
